A Box Filter is a complete unit which will include mechanical filtration, biological filtration, and a UV Filter in some units. All the required filter media is provided with the unit. Box Filters are ‘Plug and Play’ units.

Box Filters come with a fitting lid, and when closed looks like just a Box, hence the name. Well-designed Box Filters are easy to clean. All Filters have a maximum flow rate stipulated.
