Matala Water Technology Air Discs are designed to very high standards, with the ability to survive the harsh environment of Wastewater Treatment, The high quality EPDM rubber membrane with a highly durable base, constructed of molded polypropylene. Precision perforated I-shaped slits are opened when air flows. The slits are closed when airflow is stopped, this way the slits resist tearing, and stay clean longer. A stainless steel 304 clamping ring holds the membrane firmly in place and a double "O" ring shape supports the center of the membrane when airflow is absent.

NOTE
The disc is very low maintenance and in some cases NO maintenance. To clean the rubber membrane, simply soak in household vinegar for about 30 minutes, and rinse with clean water occasionally or as needed.
